Parents and Families: Introduction

Every day, families in New Jersey wrestle with challenging decisions about their children's earliest care and education: What is the best child care setting for my child? How much will it cost? How will I know if it is a quality program? What programs are available in my community? New Jersey's network of child care resource and referral agencies was established to help parents answer these questions by providing parents with the information necessary to select child care and preschool. Trained child care resource and referral counselors are available to provide guidance by phone or in person tailored to each individual family's need.

Over the years, the local resource and referral agencies have helped thousands of New Jersey families select the child care option that is right for them. Services provided include:
